Retiree Support

The Retired Activities Office supports and enriches the lives of military retired personnel, their families, and eligible former spouses of military retirees. The RAO serves as a liaison between local military retirees and the agencies that ensure access to earned benefits and entitlements.

Partner agencies include the Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS), the Board for Correction of Naval Records (BCNR), and the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). RAOs are primarily staffed by military retirees who volunteer their time. Those interested in volunteering are encouraged to contact the nearest RAO.

Claims preparation, NPRC record requests, COE, ROE, unpaid compensation, and death benefits.

Financial & Pay Support

MyPay enrollment, allotment changes, tax updates, IRS Form 1099R assistance, W-4/W-4P guidance.

Legal Referrals

Wills, trusts, probate, bankruptcy, family law, USFSPA guidance, Brown’s Formula calculations.
